AFTER YOU'VE SUBMITTED BIDS:

• We'll send you an email reminding you of the closing date of the auction about a week before it closes, and then again on the last day of the auction.
  
  
• You can return to the site and place more bids at any time up until the closing date & time of the auction.
  
  
• BE AWARE that some bidders choose to bid in the closing hours, and even closing minutes of the auction. This is very eBay-ish behavior -- We don't exactly discourage it, it's cool that there are some hardcore bidders watching the auction so intently -- but they should be aware that the closing time is not exact. We close the bidding pages down manually. Don't expect to snipe-bid at the last second as you can on eBay. WE WILL NOT CLOSE THE AUCTION UNTIL THERE HAS BEEN NO BIDDING ACTIVITY FOR ~5 MINUTES.
  
  
• Want to change a bid you've already finalized (ie you were emailed a bidding receipt for said bid)? Raising it is handled with no problem by the system and you need not bring it to our attention - just go through the bid process again for that item and submit your higher bid. HOWEVER please notify us at grr@grrecords.com if you want to lower it. If there is a "2nd highest bid" for the item in question, we will only allow you to lower a bid to 20% higher than the 2nd highest bid. We understand if you have a smaller budget than you anticipated, or if you want to shift your bidding resources from some item(s) to another. But please do not test our patience by requesting to lower your bid to $1.00 higher than the 2nd highest bid.
  
  
• Want to cancel a bid you've already finalized? Please send us a request at grr@grrecords.com. In fact, you can skip using the site to bid completely if you prefer -- just email us.
  
  
• You can return to the site and check the status of your bid(s) at any time: find the item(s) you bid on in the catalog and compare the "2nd highest bid" to the bid you placed (keep your emailed bidding receipt for reference). If the "2nd highest bid" amount listed for the item is higher than the bid that you submitted then you've been outbid. If the "2nd highest bid" is blank, or zero, or lower than the bid you submitted, then you are the high bidder on that item.
  
  
• We email bidding results to each bidder a few days after the close of the auction. If you've won any items your email will contain an invoice, including shipping (with optional insurance charges if in the USA), and links to make payment via Paypal. Paypal charges you no fee to send a payment, but we add 1.5% to Paypal payments to help cover the fee Paypal charges us on each incoming payment (2.9% + $0.30). You can also send your payment via check, money order, or well-concealed cash (we recommend using registered mail if you send cash).
  
  
• We also make the winning bids visible on the site within a day or two after the closing date. Browse the catalog and you will see high bids have replaced 2nd highest bids in the listings.
  
  
• Our most frequently asked question is regarding the "2nd Highest Bid" column in the listings. Why don't we divulge the high bid? Well, the "2nd Highest Bid" gives bids more weight -- it prevents the high bid from being easily topped, while still giving a hint about how high it is. Also, a considerable amount of GRR's customers still bid through the mail and can't keep up with the action on the website, so this keeps their bids relevant. We like to think that this system rewards skillful bidding, and not cheap tactics.
